We Missed the Trunk or Treat due to a party going on longer than we expected on Saturday night. So on Sunday we decided to go trick or treating just around the block so Patrick could have his first Halloween experience... and to get some candy. At 5pm we were ready to go but than Patrick fell asleep. He thought he better get a quick nap in cause he would be exhausted by the end of the night.
After Patrick woke up we dressed him up in his Fireman costume (which I got at Value Village for $5, great investment) He is so cute!!!
We also dressed up as sleep deprived parents. Doesn't Zed look awesome! We did put make up under our eyes its not what we really look like.
Zed loved trick or treating with Patrick. Everyone gave Patrick so many compliments that is was so cute and that they haven't seen someone dressed up as a fireman in a long time. Everyone gave him so much candy. YUM!!! I also made his treat bucket. He needed something and we didn't want to buy a bucket, so we used an ice cream pale and I taped colored paper on the side and wrapped the handle in orange yarn. Love it. I will be keeping that for a couple of years.
After we were done we came back home and layed the bucket next to Patrick. He grabbed everything out of his bucket and played with it. He was so intrigued by the crinkling sounds the bags made. He absolutely loved Halloween. And we are going to enjoy the candy!!!
That night he slept for 11 hours straight. It was a good night.
